I initially called Open Door Construction with a general idea of wanting to build a dog-friendly bungalow in a rural community. Brent and Tim walked me through and managed every step of the process, from on-site visits of the rocky hillside I hoped to purchase, to the planning, design, and construction of a beautiful, energy-efficient, custom-built home. And it all happened in less than a year and on budget, despite the pandemic and associated delays and cost increases. Brent and Tim took the time to listen to my ideas and to explain all the options based on my vision and my budget. With their expertise and skill, they incorporated all my wishes into a unique and masterfully built home that is exactly what I wanted, down to the smallest details. Any issues that arose, and there were few, were solved quickly and efficiently, and at no time was I subject to the usual stress of home-building woes, of which I had always heard so much about. Throughout the process, and particularly in light of the challenges of the past two years, there were countless times I felt so fortunate to be working with Brent and Tim and the team at Open Door. I am sure that creating my beautiful home would not have been possible with anyone else.
